Tour of Dumbo Heights, Kushner Companies’ Latest Development
Yesterday afternoon, the Hightower team was treated to a tour of the new Dumbo Heights development by Daniel Bodner, VP of Leasing at Kushner Companies.
Dumbo Heights is a five-building campus, previously a printing facility for Jehovah’s Witness. The development will hold 960,000sf of creative office space and aims to revitalize the area and connect surrounding neighborhoods. Kushner Companies has added over 83,000 square feet of ground-floor retail to grow Prospect Street’s presence and entice pedestrians to move between neighborhoods and beyond Brooklyn Bridge Park. In building the tenant group for Dumbo Heights, Kushner Companies focused on very targeted outreach, wanting to bring in creative tenants who would meld with the surrounding Brooklyn vibe.
The tour was a great opportunity for the team to learn about the growth of commercial real estate in Brooklyn, and see one of the buildings on Hightower in person. Photographs are included below of 55 Prospect Street, WeWork’s new offices, and surrounding views.
