With ICSC RECon just around the corner, retail is top of mind for much of the industry. Seems like a very appropriate time to discuss some of the exciting retail-specific changes that are coming to VTS.
Simply put: we’re investing heavily in new retail functionality. There are two product squads focused on solving the needs of our retail customers. Here’s a sneak peek into some of the work they’re doing:
A brand new site plan
The site plans on VTS are getting a complete overhaul. The upgraded site will include exciting new views for occupancy cost and merchandising mix, a more robust side pane with detailed tenant information, and a redesigned export with a full tenant roster.
Tracking executed lease to tenant move in
A new “space delivery workflow” will allow users to track buildout periods so that they never miss a delivery date again. The new functionality will send proactive alerts to relevant departments if a buildout is off track, keeping everyone on the same page and reducing risk.
Manage your specialty leasing
Not all tenants will stay with you for years. Now, when inputting a retail lease, users can select between specialty or permanent lease types (and filter by them) to get a better understanding of tenant mix.
More retail space types
Use VTS to keep track of different retail space types and better prioritize deals. Spaces can be marked Anchor, Jr. Anchor, Inline, Endcap, Padsite, Elbow, and more.
